Obituary

Today, July 10, 2020, we said goodbye to our Papaw, but he said hello to many. At the young age of 10, he lost his father and started a new life with his mother. From there he found love for the first time, had three children, sadly losing the first but moving through life with family close, driving fast cars, raising cane, doing all of that while being a dapper dan look alike and always in the middle of having a good time.

Naturally, our family is sad, but we are also glad and rejoicing at the same time for our Papaw. After being without his father for 73 years, first child for 56 years, his mother for 5 years and countless other family members and friends, he is finally reunited with everyone he has loved.

Larry Sudduth was a lover of fun. Always ready and willing to pack up the car, boat or camper and head out. One of his favorite places was The Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. He loved road trips with his children Regina & Richard and fishing and woodworking with his grandchildren Gene, Meagan & Ricky. He could also be found in The Pascagoula River close to Poticaw Bayou catching buckets of brim.

In the past few years, Larry found love for the second time with a beautiful woman, Betty Latimer. They loved and cared for one another, keeping each other's spirits high and moving through the last years of life together.

Larry also found companionship in his beloved Dachshund, Piper. They shared many treats and kisses.

Larry Sudduth was a Moss Point native. He was born September 8, 1937 and made his transition into Heaven on July 10, 2020. Larry was 82 years of age at the time of his passing, surrounded by his two children with the rest of his family in waiting. He is preceded in death by his father Richard F. Sudduth, mother Lottie Sudduth Magee and his oldest child Ricky W. Sudduth. He is survived by his two children Regina (Mike) Riser, Richard Sudduth, his three grandchildren, Gene Cossey, Meagan Riser and Ricky A. Sudduth.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all Staff and "Family" at River Chase Village in Gautier and Notre Dame Hospice.
