Mrs. Leona Carlene Vining Brown 80, of Big Point, MS but spent most of her life in the Forts Lake Community where she served many years as day captain on the Forts Lake Volunteer Fire Department. She was born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana on December 8,1939. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Katie Vining, her brothers Warren Vining and Kevlin Vining, her sisters Ernestine Hawkins and Joyce Clark.
She is survived by her Husband of 61 years Lonnie Brown, and her children Darrell (Terri) Brown, Gail Brown (Willie) Austin, Pam Brown (Joe) Ditsworth, and Travis (Tracy) Brown.She is also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Felisha (Anthony) Flinchum, Darian Brown, Jodie(Dana) Austin, Dana Wood, Joe (Lindsay) Ditsworth, Matthew Ditsworth, Shawn (Rebecca) Brown, Jesse (Brittany) Brown, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a special niece Katie Tanner. Nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday May 23, 2020 1:00 pm to 3:00 pmat Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS 39563. The funeral will begin at 3:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Foster and Rev. Brandon Rogers officiating. The burial will follow in Orange Grove cemetery.
