Mr. Leslie William (Butch) Penn, Jr., age 67, of Hurley, entered his Heavenly home on Monday, September 21, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie W. (Les) Penn, Sr.

Butch is survived by Donna Blakeney Penn, wife of 47 Years, Hurley, Ms, mother, Shirley Penn, Big Point, Ms, Sister, Gaynell (David) Toomer, Big Point, Ms, Brother-In-Law, Garry (Karen) Blakeney, Brother-In-Law, Jeff Blakeney; Sister-In-Law, Edith (Rainer) Shattles, Sister-In-Law, Regina Gable, numerous nephews and nieces.

Butch and Donna, High School Sweethearts, married in 1973. In 1980, his career took them to Louisiana where they became active members of East Bayou Baptist Church. During this time, Butch was ordained as a Deacon and taught 6th-7th grade boys Sunday School for many years. In 2007, Butch retired as La. Regional Manager with Southwest Wire Rope. They then returned home to MS to be near their families.

He was a member of Wade Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Group.

Butch enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf, fishing and hunting at their cabin on the creek.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wade Baptist Church on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00AM, with Bro. Brannon Lott officiating.
