With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lois Ann Stone, 83, of Lucedale Mississippi on August 2, 2024. Lois was born at Loraine, Ohio to Margaret and Joseph Dobias on February 27, 1941. She was baptized at the Holy Trinity Church in Lorain Ohio. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Lee Stone, and moved to Mississippi where they raised six children. She was a successful welder for Ingalls in Pascagoula for over 20 years.
Lois loved spending time with her precious dog, Cohen, fishing, watching her hummingbirds and spending time with her family.
Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Stone, Daughter, Teresa Hudson, Margaret and Joseph Dobias (parents), Charles Dobias (brother), Margaret Bolin (sister), Joyce Floro (sister).
She is survived by her children, Justin (Elda) Stone, Gail Stone, Aaron (Joyce) Stone, Curtis (Beverly) Stone, Vicki (Roe) Bosarge, sister, Diane Szatala, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Garrard, Ryan Hudson, Dustin Steen, Dennis Stone, Christopher Stone, Tucker Stone, and Honorary Pallbearer Greg Hudson.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, located at 4007 Main Street, Moss Point, MS 39563 with the Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 noon with Brother Brad Howard of Barton Baptist Church officiating the service. Burial will follow at Barton Baptist Church Cemetery.
