Lorrie Lynn Fuller Coletta, age 67, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, peacefully passed away at home on January 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born on November 9, 1957, in Richland Center, Wisconsin, Lorrie was the daughter of Richard James Fuller and Sharron Lynn Blickem Fuller. She spent her early years in Richland Center, cherishing memories made at her great-aunt and uncle's lakeside cabin, Margaret and Ronald Ferguson. In 1971, Lorrie's family relocated to South Mississippi, first settling in Pascagoula and later Moss Point. She graduated from Moss Point High School in 1976.
Lorrie married George Coletta and together they raised two daughters, Jennifer Leigh (Mike) Cota and Kathleen Lorraine Coletta. Initially dedicating herself to being a full-time homemaker, Lorrie later worked in the Pascagoula-Gautier School System as a cook for five years before spending nine wonderful years at Wayne Lee's Deli. Additionally, she volunteered for 15 years as a voting poll worker, an experience she truly cherished.
Known for her artistic flair, Lorrie excelled in various crafts, including ceramics, painting, woodburning, and decorating wooden boxes. Her exceptional skills earned her numerous blue ribbons at the Jackson County Fair, and her handcrafted gifts were always a highlight for family members.
In her leisure time, Lorrie loved boating and spending joyful days on the river or at Round Island with her family. She delighted in catching minnows, carefully selecting the vibrant ones to keep in her aquarium. Once they grew too large, she would release them back into their natural habitat.
Lorrie was preceded in death by her father, Richard James Fuller; her great-aunt and uncle, Margaret and Ronald Ferguson; her father figure, Thomas Trefren; her mother, Sharron Lynn Blickem Trefren; her brother, Richard Arthur (Eleanor) Trefren; and her sisters, Norrie Kaye (Mike) Barron and Carmen Jane (John) Butler.
Lorrie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mr. George A. Coletta; daughters Jennifer (Mike) and Kathleen; sister Kim Blickem Arbegust; brother Tony Trefren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A devoted member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula, Lorrie was deeply appreciated by her community. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Kristy, Ashley, Johnese, and the compassionate staff at Hospice of Light for their exceptional care during this challenging time.
