Louis "Bertis" Goff, 92, of Wade, Mississippi passed from this life onto his heavenly home on October 1, 2025. He grew up in the Wade community, enjoying a life in the Pascagoula Swamp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Goff graduated from Wade school in 1952. followed by his service in the National Guard and Army. He was employed with the Pascagoula Police Department for 21 years. Mr. Goff was a dedicated member of Full Life Assembly of God in Hurley.
He has survived by his wife of nearly 70 years Grace "Polly" L. Ward Goff, daughter Daryl Goff Rushing. Sons Greg (Kathleen) Goff, William "H.E." Goff, Fairon (Kay) Goff, Cecil (Charline) Goff, and daughter Susan (Tony) McLeod, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sister, Betty Ann Shirley and brother, Gerald (Ann) Goff and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Harley and Eula Goff, brother, Harvis Goff and sisters, Eloise Goff Jackson and Janelle Goff Parker.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 4 at Full Life Assembly of God in Hurley, Mississippi. Family visitation from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Public Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow. Internment will be at Johnson Cemetery Wade, Mississippi with Honors.
Pallbearers will be his four grandsons AJ Goff, Preston Goff, Ian Goff and Aaron Goff. Friends, Mickey Everett, and Jay Loris. Honorary pallbearers include Kevin Lucas, Tony McLeod, and two great grandsons, Breinton Green and Aidan Waltman.
