Obituary

Mrs. Luna Mae Pullens Tanner, 85 of Pascagoula, passed from this life on Friday, September 30, 2011 in Moss Point. She was born December 16, 1925 in Pearl River County, Mississippi.
Mrs. Tanner was retired from Singing River Hospital. She was a longtime, faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pascagoula and loved taking care of her grandchildren and helping others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Floyd and Sarah Jane Henley Pullens; husband, Homer D. Tanner; son, Ronnie Rutland; step-son, James Earl Tanner; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Tanner is survived by her sons, James "Jimmy" Rutland (Laura) of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Roger D. Rutland of Pascagoula; daughter, Judy and Rusty Mallette of Vancleave; step-daughter, Patsy and L.C. Cauley of Lucedale; brother, Dan and Erma Nell Pullens of Picayune; grandchildren, Brad Rutland, Brandi Rutland, Chad Mitchell, Dennis Church, Cheyenne Mallette; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Mitchell, Cassie Mitchell, Tanner Church; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:00am from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Movella Cemetery in George County.
