Lydia Kay Chandler, 70 of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed from this life on Thursday, September 23, 2021, in Gautier.
She was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi on November 29, 1950, to Charles F. and Enid Goff Smith.
Lydia was a loving and caring mother and devoted grandmother. She loved the Lord and studied her Bible daily. She also enjoyed working on search puzzles and spending time at home with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Gene Chandler, Sr., 2 brothers, Charles F. Smith, and Matthew Smith, and one sister, Beverly Joy Smith.
Survivors include her 3 children, Amanda Chandler, Stacy Holley (Mike Stepp), Bobby Gene Chandler Jr., (Crystal). Devoted family friend, Kenneth Brewer. 3 sisters, Roberta Braden, Rebecca Beeker, and Edith Jordan.
Grandchildren, Sophia Holley, Sheldon Holley, Shealin Holley, Shannon Chandler, Bobby Clayton Chandler, Lacey Dupree, and Joey Downey. One great-grandchild, Kinsley Downey. 2 devoted sisters-in-law, Eleanor (Jean) Chandler, and Pat Bosarge. And a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Chandler will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS. 39563. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wendell Stork officiating. Entombment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park.
