Lyle F. Van Veghel 96 of Pascagoula, Mississippi passed away peacefully in his home on December 26,2022. He was born on May 27,1926 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He served with pride and dedication in the United States Navy during World War II and in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a Tool and Diemaker in many different capacities during his 42 years in the trade. In 1964 Lyle's job moved him to Tupelo, Mississippi where he resided until 1991 when he retired and moved to Pascagoula. He has been married to the love of his life Bette since 1949.
Lyle and Bette have 4 children: Stephen (Leslie) Van Veghel, Spring Hill, Fl, Paul (Debbie) Van Veghel, Hot Springs, AR, David (Clarissa) Van Veghel, Pascagoula, MS and Lani (Jerry) Larkin, Saltillo, MS; also 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin, mother Edna, his brother John and two sisters, Laverne and Patricia.
Lyle was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Pascagoula.

Visitation will be Friday February 17,2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 3702 Quinn Ave. Pascagoula, MS 39581 with a memorial mass beginning at 11:00 am from the church sanctuary. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at the Biloxi National Cemetery 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS 39531.
