Mary Ethel Conerly, passed away on Monday, November 27th, 2023 at the age of 87. She was a fine Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and a wonderful Christian Woman. She was born in Tylertown, MS on March 7th, 1936. She worked many years in the Utility Department for the City of Pascagoula. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated Mother and enjoyed working around the house doing everything for herself which she took much pride in being able to do. She and her husband Norlan loved to travel visiting places throughout the entire United States. She was a dedicated member of the Central Church of Christ in Pascagoula. She had many brothers and sisters in Christ for many years of her long life. She loved teaching Sunday School over the years. Mary traveled to visit her daughter, Sandra, and her family in different parts of the country. She was an avid sports fan and followed her children and grandchildren to watch them play the many sports that they were involved in over the years. She enjoyed watching and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.

She is preceded in death by her Husband of 64 years Norlan Austin Conerly, Father, Buford Johnson and Mother, Pauline Simpson Johnson, brother Allen Johnson, Father-in-Law, Iddo Watts Conerly, Mother-In-Law, Rosie Collins Conerly, and Brother-ln-Laws. William Thomas (Lena) Conerly, Richard Vaught (Maude) Conerly, and Ronnie Carpenter.

She leaves behind her, son Ricky (Georgia) Conerly, daughter, Sandra (Russell) Peak. Grandchildren Dallas (Jeffery) Ellis, Austin (Tracy) Conerly, Russell (Michele) Peak, Dexter (Rachel) Peak, Skyler (Jen) Peak, and Hunter (Robyn) Peak. Step-Grandson Christian (Kim) Morlan. She leaves her great-grandchildren Taylor Reeves, Skyler Wetmore, Mason Wetmore, Sawyer Conerly, Banks Ellis, Connor Ellis, Isla Peak, Scarlet Peak, Russell Peak III, Brecken Peak, Maevyn Peak, Eden Peak, Hendrix Peak, Logan Claire Peak, Adler Peak and Collins Peak. Special Sister-in-Law, Sylvia Johnson. She had many other nieces and nephews that she was always a favorite of theirs.

The Service will be Monday, December 4th, 2023 at the Holder-Wells Funeral Home at 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. The interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park. Ron Webb from the Central Church of Christ will officiate the service.

We want to extend our gratitude to Notre Dame Hospice and The Cottage at Bay Cove, along with their exceptional staff for their care comfort that they provided for our mother. They are a special group that does a great job of caring and showing compassion for our mother. They are the best at taking of our mother and showing much compassion for her during her illness.
