Mary Anne Jones Hudson, 72, of Jackson County, Mississippi, passed from this life on Friday, October 21, 2022, in Mobile Alabama.
She was born on October 8, 1950, in Pascagoula, Mississippi to Wilton "Tunker" Jones and Louise Brooks Jones.
Mary Anne was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. "She loved her family fiercely." She loved to cook and enjoyed landscaping and gardening.
She was employed for over 10 years as superintendent at the Jackson County Golf Course. Then she became a licensed heavy equipment operator and traveled the country working at numerous construction companies. "She could work circles around any man!" Mary Anne loved rock and roll music, especially The Beatles. And she adored her daddy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilton "Tunker" Jones.
Survivors include her beloved and devoted children, Doug (Jeri) Hudson, Deborah (Nathan) Holcomb, and David (Jerica) Hudson. 8 grandchildren, Chase (Ashley) McCrory, Haley (Blake) Davis, Makenzie Holcomb, Madison Holcomb, Natalie Hudson, Michael Hudson, Nevaeh Bounds, and Marlee Hudson. 3 great-grandchildren, Bristol McCrory, Hutch McCrory, and Hattie Davis. Her mother, Louise Jones, and brother and sister, Bob Jones, and Linda Snipes. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wendell Stork officiating.
