November 19, 2025 Merle Lee Doswell, a life long resident of Vancleave Mississippi, has passed away to enter into her heavenly home. Merle was born August 21, 1927 and was 98 years old. She was proceeded in death by her father, Joseph Melvin, "Joe" Holden, and mother Ila Goff Holden. Her brothers, Murray, Houston, Russell, Simon, Gerald and Arnold Holden and sisters Winnie Dee and Edna Estelle. Also her grandson, Wesley Tillman, of Vancleave. Merle and JD Doswell had five children, Diane, Brenda, Sharon, Sandra and Billy. She also had 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A grave side service will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, 13900 Mount Pleasant Road at 10:00am. Rev. Bennet Coker will officiate.
