Michael Anthony Ankerson's Obituary
Michael Ankerson of Pascagoula MS passed Tuesday, January 14, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Biloxi, MS on March 7, 1944 to Lee and Myrtis Ankerson. Mike grew up on the MS Gulf Coast and graduated from Our Lady of Victories High School in 1963. He was a member of the OLV Eagles football team that won several Bowl Games. He went into the Army June of 1965 where he served for 2 years; after his military service he moved back to the coast where he enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Stephane Frederic Ankerson, his son Michael Scott Ankerson, two step children, Amy Childress and Ty Childress, his 2 brothers, Arnold J. Seidule and Tommy Ankerson, (wife) Adreanne Thomas Ankerson, and one sister, Gloria Foretich. Preceded in death by his brother John E. Seidule.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020, at 12:30 PM, at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
