Michael Henry Perkins, 58 passed from this life on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Big Point. The angels came and took him to Heaven to join his family that passed before him. Heaven's gates opened and he entered the Kingdom of God. Michael was born February 1, 1954 in Boyle, Mississippi. He was an electrician and was a member of IBEW Local 903 of Gulfport. Michael was preceded in death by his father and mother, George Henry and Tressie Edna Perkins; brother Jimmy Perkins; and sister Gladys Moten. He is survived by children Christopher Perkins of Gautier, Kimberly Hall (Randy) of Moss Point, Derrick Perkins (Ashley) of Gulfport; brothers, Garland Perkins of Moss Point, George Perkins (Pauline) of Greenwood, John Perkins (Mary) of Calhoun City; sisters, Regina Morris of Carthage, Ruth Ross (Gordon) of Moss Point, Dixie Thompson (James) of Winona, Kay Gunter of Carrollton; eight grandchildren Hunter, Fisher, River, Patience, Serenity, Nathaniel, Adam, Allison and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Coastal Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 10:00AM from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kay Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point.
