Mr. Milton William Southern, 86, of Forts Lake, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He was born November 24, 1932 in Pascagoula, MS, to Albert Southern, Sr., and May Belle Taylor Southern. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. After retirement, he worked part-time for the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Southern was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Southern, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret Hamilton Southern; 3 sons, Gary (Lisa) Southern; Michael Southern; and Rocky (Michelle) Southern. Grandchildren, Jason (Haley) Southern; Brittney Southern; and Hayli Southern. Great-grandchildren, Brieson Southern; Londyn Cole; Rylan Duncan; Lessie Southern; and Bowen Southern. 3 sisters, Patricia Stork; Alice Thompson; Judy (David) Hester. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 3042 Pascagoula St., Pascagoula, MS., 39567. Funeral Service will follow at 12 p.m. from the Church Sanctuary, with Rev. Derek Waffel officiating.
Serving as pallbearers: Matt Hester, Travis Hamilton, Aaron Williams, Randy Bosarge, David Hammond, and Darryl Stork. Interment will follow at the Finnish Lutheran Cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
In Lieu of flowers the family request offerings be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
