Minnie Sue Fulmer, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, in Vancleave, Mississippi. She was born on January 14, 1943, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and her life spanned more than eight decades of memories and connections rooted in her community and in the hearts of those she loved.
Minnie Sue was the daughter of William Yocum and Dora Miller, both of whom preceded her in death. Her early years in Pascagoula were shaped by the close-knit bonds of family, a foundation that would come to define her character and spirit throughout her life.
She leaves behind her devoted daughters, Susan (Dennis) Vaughn and Debra Kay, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy. The role of grandmother was one Minnie Sue carried with grace; her grandchildren, Jason Vaughn, Eric Vaughn, and Melissa Godwin, as well as her six great grandchildren were each blessed by her enduring love, warmth, and attentive care
Deeply missed by Minnie Sue are those who have gone before her. She is reunited with her father, William Yocom, and mother, Dora Miller Yocom. She is also now at peace alongside her Husband Ernest Ray Fulmer Sr., her son Ernest Ray Fulmer Jr., her grandson Duane Vaughn, her brothers William Yocum and Eddie Miller. The memories they shared together remain a treasured part of her legacy.
Throughout her lifetime, Minnie Sue built meaningful relationships that touched many, providing kindness and steadiness to family and friends alike. Her roots in Pascagoula and later life in Vancleave were characterized by a quiet resilience and a deep commitment to those she held dear. Whether with words of wisdom, acts of generosity, or simply her comforting presence, Minnie Sue offered steadfast love to all who knew her.
Minnie Sue was a talented seamstress and loved crocheting in her free time as well as spending time outdoors. she will be missed by many. She was also a lifelong member of Reorganized Latter-Day Saints and loved being a Sunday School Teacher.
Family and friends are invited to honor Minnie Sue Fulmer at a graveside service on Thursday August 6, 2026, at 10:00 am at Jackson County Memorial Park, 4710 Ingalls Avenue Pascagoula, Mississippi.
