It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother Nannie Ruth Ward. She joined her family and friends above on June 18, 2025 in Lucedale, MS. Born in Macon, MS on December 6, 1946 to the late Edgar Homer Cade and Georgia Lee Cade. She was one of 5 children. Ruth went on to have 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 14 (and counting) great grand children. She retired as a 1st Class Electrician, Local #733 from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 2013. Everyone that knew her loved her. She touched many people's lives and created many memories filled with love and laughter. Ruth was a fearless woman who bravely fought throughout her life. She instilled independence and taught how to love with a fire and passion that was all Ruth Ward! She will be forever missed by all who had the honor to know and love her.

Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Redus, her brother Jim Cade and her cousin Bob Denny.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Lindella) Thomas, Scott Thomas, Jimmy (Michelle) Ward and Nicole Ward; grandchildren, Jared (Brandi) Thomas, Lauren Thomas, Gabriel (Ashley) Thomas, Ella Suttle, Aiden Thomas, Damien Buckley, Tray (Kayla) Ward, Colton (Sydni) Ward, Skylar Gambler and Cassidy (Deaven) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Cohen, Croix, Emrie, Faryn and Ollie Thomas; Demi and Gabrielle Thomas; Kaydon, Landyn and Kendal Ward; Brently and Finley Ward; Adelaide Thompson; siblings, Ann Bethany and Billy Cade and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
