Nellie Mae Ellis Hearndon, a longtime resident of Hurley Mississippi. Born May 1, 1945, has passed away at the age of 81 on May 29, 2026. 

Nellie Mae was proceeded in death by her husband WD Hearndon, her father and mother Pete and Frances Ellis, her sisters Lydia Jewel, and Elizabeth, and her brothers Randy and Billy.

Nellie Mae is survived by her brothers TJ, Charlie, Robert Joe, Richard and her sisters Vera, Nancy, Margaret Ann, Linda and Brenda. Her Children, Tommy (Tabatha), BB (Evelyn), Rosie (Charles), Cindy (Hacker) Renie (Paul), and Johnny Ray (Juliet). She had 29 grandchildren ,43 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters. She worked many years at East Central School as a custodian. She was the strongest bravest woman God ever made. She was so loved and will be deeply missed.
