Nora Jackson Bryant, age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and her best friend, Thelma Morris, on September 15, 2023, in Moss Point, Mississippi.
Nora was born on March 30, 1939 in Limmerick, Ireland to Patrick (PJ) and Nora Jackson of Limmerick.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her loving husband, Perriel L. Bryant, Sr. (Cooney), her son, Patrick, her stepson, Perriel Bryant Jr, and her brothers, Morgan, John and Terry.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Quinn (Carla) of Moss Point, Mississippi, and Noel Quinn (Helen) of England, her daughters, Mary and Annette, of Limmerick, Ireland, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary of Limmerick.
She is also survived by a very special nephew and niece, Joey and Melanie Jordan of Jamestown, Louisiana and a host of other family members and friends.
Noreen, as she was lovingly known to most of us, loved to fish, cook and entertain.
She loved to sing her Irish songs during a good fun round of Karaoke, travel, and shop. She loved watching old shows and westerns on TV, but don't turn her TV to a ball game! That was a big No-No!
She loved going to the VFW Hall and playing Bingo every chance, she got. She was a kind and trusting woman who also loved to decorate her house for every holiday possible. Some years her Christmas tree stayed up year-round and was decorated with each Holiday. She loved everyone and will certainly be missed.
The family would like to thank all of the many doctors and nurses that cared for her over the years and all of you for the many kindnesses you have shown to us, her family, during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00PM on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at Helena Presbyterian Church 10301 Saracennia Road Moss Point, Ms 39562. There will be a visitation from 4:00PM-5:00PM at the church prior to the service.
