Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Odis Darrell Shows, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022. He was 80 years old and a resident of Hurley, MS

It was with great pride that he served his country as an Aircraft Director with the United States Navy from 1961-1964. Part of his time was spent on the USS Kittyhawk. He loved the military but suffered a disabling injury and received his medical honorable discharge after just four years.

He was always active in his church and community and served in several different types of ministries including a prison ministry which was especially close to his heart. He loved horses, carpentry, and collecting caps.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jessie Marie Shows, his daughter Terrie (Dan) Pauls, daughter Randi Gatwood, daughter Sandi (Stan) Pauls, son, Wesley (Dana) Shows, 15 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

He was a servant of The Lord all his days and exemplified great faith to his family and friends. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He had a fierce love for his family, and he leaves a Godly legacy that will forever be cherished.
