Patricia Ellis
August 23, 1955 - January 13, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Ellis, who left us peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on August 23, 1955, Patricia's life was marked by unwavering love, quiet strength, and a kindness that touched all who knew her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Louis Seaman Sr.; her sister, Mary Alice Knight; her brother-in-law, Durell Knight; her grandmothers, Alice DeWitt and Mary Pierce; her grandfathers, Russell DeWitt and Vester Pierce; her mother-in-law, Lilly Ellis; and her father-in-law, Eddie Oswalt.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Francis Ellis; her mother, Patricia Seaman; her brothers, Russell (June) Seaman, Louis (Karene) Seaman; her nieces and nephews, Angie (Jonathan) Byrd, Rusty (Julie)Seaman, Jennifer (Dexin) Hensley, Adam (Maggie) Seaman, Michael (Nikki) Seaman, Anthony Ellis, and Jonathan Ellis; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Madison (Blake) Gartman, Faith Hensley, Olivia (Zack) Switzer, Sara Hensley, Will Hensley, Walker Seaman, Shaela Seaman, Hailey Johnson, Hudson Seaman, Reese Griffith, Brooklyn Seaman, and Harper Seaman; her great-great-nephew and great-great-nieces, Jace Byrd, Ella Grace Byrd, and Baker Seaman; her brother-in-law, F.A. (Paula) Ellis; and special friends, Florence Armagest, Ashley Griffith, Joe and Kathy Austin, and Joy Carroll.
From her earliest days, Patricia embraced life with a spirit of adventure and joy.

She cherished the time spent riding horses, competing, and attending horse shows alongside her brothers, memories that remained close to her heart. As the years unfolded, Patricia's curiosity led her to explore new places, whether traveling, camping beneath the stars, or casting a line in quiet waters. In her later years, she found deep comfort in the companionship of her beloved poodles, Houston and Bella, whose presence brought her lasting happiness.

Services for Patricia Ellis will be held in the Chapel of Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main Street, Moss Point, MS 39563, on Tuesday, January 20th. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by services at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Orange Grove Cemetery in Moss Point. Pastor Gary McDonald and Pastor James Passman will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Jonathan Byrd, Rusty Seaman, Dexin Hensley, Zach Switzer, Adam Seaman, Michael Seaman, Will Hensley and Walker Seaman.


Patricia's memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched. Her gentle spirit and enduring love will remain an inspiration to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
