Paul Michael Overly, 69 of Baltimore, MD died Jan. 26, 2024, at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. He was born in Rochester, PA. Paul was employed by the Baltimore City Health Dept. for 20 plus years. He was the Grants Director.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Overly. Survivors include his mother, Betty Overly of Gautier, MS, sister Donna Coleman, brother Timothy, & Kathryn Overly. Nephews & nieces Steven Zirkelback, Bridget Urquidez, Jonathan & Samantha Overly, Joseph & Emmie Overly, Christopher & Jay Overly, April & Justin Dulin. An Uncle Guy & Martha Moody, 8 great nephews & nieces. Also, his beloved fur baby companion Sonny.

Paul graduated from Centenary College with a degree in History & Journalism. He loved performing in his post high school years, he participated in local theater performing in local plays. He was an avid music enthusiast & had a massive collection of guitars. He performed at local cafes & other venues with his guitars playing & singing. It was his passion. He supported local music, organizing an annual roundup of Gretsch guitars aficionados in 2008 that he attended every year. He also had a love of cooking, another one of his passions with his specialties were Indian food, cheesecakes & pizza.

The family thanks the staff of Johns Hopkins for their care & compassion during our time of grief. We ask that in memory of Paul that anyone who wants to honor him that you donate to a charity of your choice in Paul's name. Memorial plans have not yet been made at this time.
