Mr. Peter Joseph Joubert, 72, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, left us abruptly on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in Pascagoula.
He was born on June 18, 1951, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Joseph G. Joubert and Shirley Hazlett Joubert.
Pete worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding in the Engineering department until 2020, when he retired after 36 years. During those years, he spent most of his free time watching and playing sports, fishing, and bowling. He bowled two 800 series and nine 300 games. Most of which were at Spanish Trail Lanes in Gautier, MS.
Pete won King of the River two years in a row, one of which was with his best friend Bruce Mazingo. He was King of the Bowler's Ball in 2005. He was an avid bass fisherman with memberships in Dog River Bass Masters, South Mississippi, and his current club, Coastal. Pete was passionate about NASCAR and made sure never to miss a race. He was caring, protective, and fiercely loyal to his family and friends.
Survivors include his best friend and beloved wife, Sherry (Sumrall) Joubert, stepson, Richard Adams III, sister, Debbie Joubert Kehrer, nephew, Danial Kehrer (Nicolle), and niece, Stephanie Kehrer.
