Rebecca Chavis passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2024. She was born February 08, 1938 to Joel Chavis and Addie Chason. She retired from the US Navy after many years of service.
Becky loved the Lord and the church and all church activities in her younger years, playing cards with the Alabama ladies, eating out and socializing with the Mississippi ladies, eating out at the lighthouse restaurant with family and friends, shopping, reading, and painting pictures on her phone and tablet.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joel Chavis, mother- Addie (Ed) Chason Cain , her Mama – Evelyn Carraway, her brother- Haston Buck (Patsy)Chavis ,her sister- Nancy Gunter.
She leaves to cherish her memories,
Hilda Pippin-sister (and Pip). Lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special friends (you know who you are).
She will have a graveside funeral on August 19th, 2024 at 1:00 PM CST; located at Serene Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 12800 Hwy 613, Moss Point, MS 39562
