With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Ragno Jr., age 58, of Moss Point, Mississippi. He left us on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the comfort of his home.

Born on September 20, 1966, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Robert was the beloved son of Robert and Vivian Pauline Chandler Ragno. Throughout his life, he poured his heart into his music and expressed his creativity as a songwriter and actor. Robert had a profound passion for music, enjoying singing, playing drums and guitar, and sharing his talents with others. He cherished the moments spent camping, drawing cartoons, and making memories with his family, friends, and, most importantly, his daughter.

For 16 wonderful years, Robert was a proud member of the Mississippi Songwriters Alliance, and he shared his musical journey with the band "Party of Two." He also had a memorable role in the film "The Insider" and was deeply involved with Center Stage Theatre for many years, showcasing his love for performance. His musical spirit was further expressed through his involvement in several bands over the years, including "Bad Apple," "Stone Ryer," and "Triple Barrel."

Robert's life was touched by love and loss. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Joseph Ragno Sr.; his cherished nephews, John Paul Moline and Aaron Michael Allen Ragno; his maternal grandmother, Ione Chandler Robertson; his maternal grandfather, James Edward Chandler; and his paternal grandparents, Mary Ragno and Salvatore Ragno.

He is survived by his precious daughter, Melody Ragno; his devoted mother, Vivian Ragno; four loving sisters, Angela Allen, Darlene (Ronald) Calogero, Mary (Ricky) Ridgdill, and Beverly Moline; his caring brother, Edward (Stacy) Ragno; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts.

In honor of Robert's memory, we invite friends and loved ones to join us for visitation on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holder Wells Coastal Chapel, located at 12800 Hwy 613, Moss Point, MS 39563. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at Holder-Wells Coastal Funeral Home, with a graveside service at Serene Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Your presence will be a source of comfort as we celebrate the remarkable life he lived.
