Mr. Robert Merle Wells, age 86 of Moss Point, MS, passed away May 27, 2009 at his home. Mr. Wells was born May 8, 1923 in Jackson County, to the late Robert Claude and Jenie Irene Wells. Mr. Wells retired from the United States Air Force, and Martin Marietta. He was a member of the Moss Point Young Men's Business Club, an avid golfer and gardener. Mr. Wells is preceded in death by his parents, Wife Mary Jane Lindsey Wells, two brothers Edwin Wells, and Vernon Wells, and a sister Frances Wells Tanner. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Lynda and her husband Dr. Alvin Felts Jr. of Moss Point. A brother Norman Wells of Gautier. Five Grandchildren: T'Al and Sherry Felts III; Robert and Kala Felts of Moss Point; Paul and Victoria Felts of Big Point; Michael Felts of Moss Point; and Joseph Adam Felts of Moss Point. Six Great Grandchildren, Alvin L. "Tee" Felts IV, Zachary Felts, Aden Felts, Cade Miles, River Felts and Tristen Felts. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29th at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Friends may call one hour prior to service time.
