Mr. Rodney Alan Shields,63, of Helena, MS passed away Sunday June 13,2021 at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS. He was born March 13,1958 in Portsmouth, VA.
In his early years Rodney enjoyed working at the family feed mill with his cousin Billy Shields. Later he spent his working years up to his retirement in the family business with his Dad, Brothers, Sister and Nephew. He loved riding in the big trucks with Sam to the job sites. His favorite events were going to the Rodeo, Monster Truck shows and the fair. Rodney lived a full and vibrant life surround by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Edmond "Bo" Shields Sr. and Iris Brooks Shields; sister Judith (Jerry) Western Sr., brother Sam (Sis) Shields; brother, Mike (Robin Renault) Shields; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Rodney will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The visitation for Rodney will be held at Helena Baptist Church Friday, June 18,2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Parmer officiating. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens with Paul Yadav, Jerry Western Jr., Hunter Western, Charles Furby Jr., Clifton Millers Jr., and Billy Shields Jr. serving as pallbearers.
