Ronald Elliott Butler 68, of Ridgeland, MS passed away on December 23,2019 at his home.

Ronnie was born on March 28,1951 in Natchez, MS. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. degree in finance and business.

He was a proud supporter of the Salvation Army and served on the board for many years. He was also a faithful supporter of Habitat for Humanity and he believed everyone should have a home to live in regardless of their race, religion, gender, or their financial situation beyond their control.

He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lehman and Kathleen Butler.

He is survived by his wife Rita Carpenter Butler of Ridgeland formally of Moss Point and his son William Elliott Butler of Ridgeland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be Saturday December 28,2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS 39563. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Serene Memorial Gardens 12800 Hwy 613 Moss Point, MS 39562.

I lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made to the Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity.
