Mr. Ronald Eugene Williamson of Foley, AL passed away on September 2,2019 in Mobile, AL at the age of 70 surrounded by his family and friends.
Ron was born on April 7,1949 to Randall and Mary Williamson in Murphysboro, IL. He graduated from Trico High School in Ava. IL in 1967. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a brave and loyal soldier who continued to serve his country by working for the federal government until his retirement.
Ron enjoyed fishing and loved his corvette, but his biggest passion was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Mitzi (Holder) Williamson, daughter Lindsay and the son he always wanted, Donovan Woodard and his biggest joys- his four grandchildren; Avery, Cole, Halle and August Woodard. His father, Randall Eugene Williamson, His sisters, Pamela (Steve) McGriff, Lynn (Butch) Morber, and Sondra (Gary) Rosendohl. Ron was also blessed with his Mississippi family, sister Mattie (James) Carter, brothers, Melvin (Jo) Holder, John (Dianne) Holder, Dean (Regina) Holder. He also leaves behind 25 nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and nephews on both sides.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Stein Williamson, father-in-law, John Norris Holder, mother-in-law, Tressie S. Holder, sisters Becky Clark and Gloria Goff, and brother Lavon Scarborough, great nieces Kennedy Anderson, Kelly Holder, and Gina Hawes.
A visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday September 7,2019 at the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in Escatawpa, MS. A celebration of life service in his honor will begin at 2:00 pm.
