Roy Francis Overby, 88, of Escatawpa, MS entered into eternal rest on April 4, 2021, surrounded by family. Roy was born on October 3, 1932. Roy was a USAF veteran.
Mr. Overby was a union electrician since 1954 and a proud member of IBEW Local 733 & 903. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Mae McBride Overby, parents, Early & Hattie Overby. Sisters, Ruth Siler & Christine Robinson, Brothers, Ernest Overby, Jessie Overby, Ray Overby, Leonard Overby, Dean Overby & Jimmy Overby. Mr. Overby is survived by his sons, Michael R Overby (Sandy), Donald L Overby, Pascagoula, and daughter, Shirley Marquez Lee,(Earl) Orange Park, FL. Grandchildren, Joseph L Overby (Nicole) Lynn Haven, Fl, Lisa Marquez Fleming (Michael) Jacksonville, FL, Robert M Marquez (Denise) Willacoochee, GA, and Michelle K Overby, Pascagoula. Great Grandchildren, Twins Preston & Hunter Wilford, Daniel Fleming, Jacksonville, FL, Wesley P Overby and Magnolia J Overby, Lynn Haven, FL. Siblings, Sybil Overby Ivaldi, Palm Desert, Ca and Kenneth R Overby (Betty) Valley, AL.
Sister-in-law Sue Overby. As well as a host of nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Overby officiating. Burial will be at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, MS.
