Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ruby “Dianne” Walls

Ruby “Dianne” Walls, born April 1, 1947, left this earthly life for eternal healing on August 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Dianne was a devoted caregiver who welcomed everyone into her home and into her life. She had a heart for serving others and made people feel loved, accepted, and at home. Dianne cherished spending time with her family and loved ones. She found joy in gardening, bird watching, sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, taking trips with her family, and bringing people together for gatherings where family and friends could fellowship making lasting memories. She especially loved teaching her loved ones through arts and crafts, sharing not only her talents and creativity, but also the time and love that made those moments so special. She passed down more than skills and recipes; she passed down patience, creativity, traditions, and precious memories that will continue to be treasured by generations to come.

Dianne was a faithful member of Clark Bayou Assembly of God. She was a faithful servant and follower of the Lord, living her faith through the way she loved and cared for others. She led by example showing kindness, compassion, strength, and unwavering faith throughout her life.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, James and Maxine Chance; her sister, Vivian Jean Chance; her former husband, Gayland Newsome; her stepdaughter, Brandi Havard; her nieces, Angela Levi and Jillaina Thomas; and her nephew, Joe Holtzclaw.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Charlie Walls; daughter, Christy (Donnie) Stanford; son, Kenny (Stephanie) Newsome; stepson, Billy (Kristy) Walls; grandchildren, Jessica (Kelly) McDonald, Courtney (Joshua) Shouse, Lucinda (Mikey) Lee, Mason Stanford, Markis Stanford, Isaiah Stanford, Samuel Walls, Gracie Huber, Preston Walls, Brendin Walls, Brison Havard, Charlee Walls, and Tori Havard; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Wyatt, Holden, Owen, Olivia, and Ruby; siblings, Loraine, Jeannette, Margie, Jemmie, Mary Louise, Stanley, and Kaye; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Dianne leaves a legacy of love, faith, compassion, and service. Her greatest gift was the love she poured into her family and everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her home was a place of welcome, her heart was a place of comfort, and her life was a testimony to her faith in the Lord.

Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they can find comfort knowing that Dianne is now resting in the arms of the Lord she faithfully served. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, her loved ones, and all those whose lives she touched.

Pallbearers for the funeral service are Kelly McDonald, Joshua Shouse, Mason Stanford, Preston Walls, Brendin Walls, and Brison Havard. Honorary Pallbearer are Billy Walls and Donnie Stanford. Brother Michael Pierce will officiate the Funeral Service.

Visitation will be held 9 AM followed by funeral service at 10 AM Wednesday, August 12,2026 at Clark Bayou Assembly of God 12200 MS-613, Moss Point, MS 39562 followed by interment at Serene Memorial Gardens.
