Sandra Kay Rogers Dewberry, of Lucedale, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at home. She was born on October 18, 1953 in Biloxi to William Lowell and Pauline Thomason Rogers. She loved taking trips with family, cooking, and holidays and family gatherings, crocheting, and putting together puzzles with her sisters. Sandra loved Christmas, which was her absolute favorite time of the year. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, which was the highlight of her days. She is survived by husband Leon Lamar Dewberry, Sr. of Lucedale; daughter, Pamala Dewberry Davis of Lucedale; son, Leon "Lonnie" Dewberry, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Lucedale; sisters, Faye Stokes and husband Donald of Franklin Creek, Nancy Larson and husband Jimmy of Hurley, and Cheryl McCollum of Hurley; brothers, Teddy Wayne Tompkins, and Tony Tompkins, both of Woolmarket; grandchildren, Leon "Lil Lonnie" Dewberry III, Courtney Dewberry, Mary Grace Dewberry, Lance Corporal Hunter Davis, and Chase Davis; and great grandchildren, Adalynn Dewberry (who was so close and important to her), and Charleigh Dewberry. She is also survived by and helped raise numerous nieces and nephews, including her nephew, Eugene Boyd, who was like a son to her. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Carol Rogers, and Sara May Rogers; and brothers, Charles William Rogers, and James Thomas Rogers. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 3 PM, at the Lum Cumbest Park, 18417 Highway 613, Moss Point, MS, 39562.
