Sandra Kay Privette Willis, age 79, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, enveloped by the love and presence of her devoted family. Born on October 2, 1945, in the heart of North Carolina, she was a cherished daughter of the late Gale Richard and Mary Ella Privette.



Sandy's journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Marylyn Veath, and her cherished grandchild, Sarah Hughes, both of whom hold a special place in the hearts of those who remain.



She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mr. Rodney Gray Willis, who stood beside her through all of life's seasons. Their deep bond was a testament to the love and companionship that can flourish through the years. Sandy also leaves behind her adoring children: Lynn (Edward) Ward, Cathy (Mike) Cornish, and "RJ" Rodney Callis; each carrying forward her spirit and legacy. The family is further enriched by her grandchildren, Ronnie Hughes, Christina Eastern, Alan Willis, and Nicole Migues, alongside a thriving brood of 14 great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Sandy is also survived by her brother, Richard Privette, as well as countless close family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.



Throughout her life, Sandra was fueled by a profound passion for caring for her family, which was at the core of all she did. Her legendary culinary skills and love for dining out painted many joyful gatherings. Sandy enjoyed the thrill of visiting the casino, where she embraced the excitement of chance with exuberance. An ardent lover of the outdoors, she found solace and peace in nature's embrace, relishing each moment spent amidst the beauty of the world around her.



A visitation to celebrate Sandra's remarkable life will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2024, commencing at 12:00 PM, with the memorial service following at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather at Holder-Wells Funeral Home - Coastal Chapel, conveniently located at 12800 Highway 613 S, Moss Point, MS 39562.
