Sheila Ann Carter, 69, of Moss Point, Mississippi, passed from this life on Monday, February 14, 2022, in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
She was born on November 10, 1952, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Paul H. Smith and Gladys E. Smith.
Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who loved her family, and was a good friend to all. She enjoyed sewing and her front-porch swing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Tina Marie Smith, and one brother, John H. Smith.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Michael (Mike) Carter, one daughter, Traci (Jeff) Lander, one son, Todd (Annie) Carter. 3 grandchildren, Thomas Lander, Jr., Jacquelyn Lander, and Tara Bell Carter. One great-grandchild, Jameson Michael Hyde. Her siblings, Pauline (Sonny) White, Paulette Evans,
Derek Smith, and Linda (Robert) Couch, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Mrs. Carter will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Serene Memorial Gardens, 12800 Hwy 613, Moss Point, MS., 39562 with Bro. Dean Smith officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Couch, Barry Evans, Paul Smith, Preston Couch, Gavin Smith, and Christian Scarbrough. Honorary pallbearer, Ryland Smith.
