Sheila was born on June 12,1948 at the Jackson County Hospital in Pascagoula, Mississippi. She was a longtime resident of Moss Point, passed away on July 26,2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old. She was an insulator for Ingalls Shipbuilding for 31 years
She was a loving mother and a NANA to all who knew her.
Sheila was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Freeman, her stepson Jerry Myrick, her parents John and Meady Freeman, her brothers Ed, Chris and Lee Freeman and her sister Donna Freeman.
She is survived by her son Leon (Stephanie) Freeman and her daughters Khristi (Richie) Merrill and Jamie Myrick and her sister Martha Johnson. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren Alexis and Wesley Freeman, Michael (Amanda) Williams, Matt (Clarissa) Byrd, Jeremy (Kaitlyn) Freeman, Michael (Jonathan) Byrd, Brittney, Ashley and RJ Merrill, Ashton (Cody) Parker, Marcus Burnham, Allison (Randon) Watts. 11 great grandchildren Ella, Colin, Brantley, Brayleigh, Kylen, Magnolia, Nyshell, Waylon, Brayson and Adaleigh. As well as many loved family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be Monday August 1,2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, Mississippi 39563. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimbo Reed officiating.
Burial will follow in Serene Gardens cemetery 12800 Hwy 613 Moss Point, Mississippi 39562.
Active pallbearers will be Matt Byrd, Wesley Freeman, Marcus Burnham, RJ Merrill, Roscoe Boster and Matt McFarland.
The family would like to extend a special thank you Covenant Care Hospice and Providence for their care and compassion during Shelia's illness.
