Mr. Thomas E. Cochran Sr., (Tommy) passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born in Pascagoula, MS on September 02, 1942 to T.W. and Bertie Cochran.

Tommy, or Tucker as he was nicknamed, was preceded in death by his parents T.W. (Bertie) Cochran, his wife Zella (Scott) Cochran, and his two sons, Tommy Cochran, Jr. and Jeff Cochran.

He leaves behind to cherish many memories his daughters Lynn (Paul) Wilson and Cassie (John) Yon; grandchildren: Ryan (Rachel) Cochran, Dillon Cochran, Carson Yon, Jeffrey Wilson, Aubrey Grace Yon, J.T. Wilson, Abbie Yon; and one great-grandson Paxon Cochran.

More than anything, Tommy loved spending time with his grandchildren. Whether gardening, hunting, or "just piddling", anything with the grandchildren was his favorite activity. Along with his beloved wife "Sug", his grandkids were the loves of his life. Over the years, he trained hunting dogs, coached many years of baseball and softball, and enjoyed back porch sitting with the family. He was fiercely competitive and loved all sports, especially baseball. Until his passing, he accurately remembered game stats and line-ups dating back to the 1950's. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing. His last few years were happily spent at home being cared for by Mrs. Becky Jackson. Becky was very special to him. His family was thankful that he could live in his own home while being loved and cared for. He will be fondly and lovingly remembered for his overuse of unnecessary quotation marks and his purposeful misspelling of words "just to fool you."
