Mr. Thomas Julius Porter, 81, was born on December 8, 1931 in Lincoln County, MS, to his parents, Mr. Fed B. Porter and Mrs. Arie (Watts) Porter. He passed from this life on September 19, 2013 at Singing River Hospital. He loved Country Music and attended senior citizen dances every weekend. He loved his family and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Fed B. Porter and Mrs. Arie (Watts) Porter. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Manchester of Jackson, MS; 2 sons, Tommy Porter of Natchez, MS and Joey (Rebecca) Porter of Washington, MS; 4 grandchildren, Sherece, Monica, Jason and Jessica; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Roy (Juanita) Porter of Grand Bay, AL; sisters, Thelma Key of Pascagoula, MS, Sue Painter of Gautier, MS and Maxine (Jack) Stork of Wade, MS. The visitation will be held at Holder-Wells Funeral Home on September 22, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. An additional visitation will be held at Ramah Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS, on September 23, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Following will be a graveside with Brother Lonnie Case officiating. Interment will be at the Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS.
