Viola Erlene "Polly" Busby was born August 5, 1937 and was 83 years old. She was a member of the Orange Grove community in Moss Point during her childhood years. She was given the nickname "Polly-Wog" as a child which stuck with her throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Ridglea Heights Baptist Church, an Eastern Star, and a part of Gideon's International. Formerly she was a member of East Moss Point Baptist Church. She was the centerpiece of the Busby family and will never be forgotten.
Mr. and Mrs. Busby married on September 5, 1953 and spent a wonderful 67 years together, built a family business (Busbys' TV) with their 4 sons.
Mrs. Busby was preceded in death by her parents William Eldred "Buddy" and Ada Viola White and her brothers Donnie Lee and Glen Eldred White.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Aubrey Allen Busby. Her sons Miachel (Pam) Busby, Garry (Diane) Busby, Terry (Diane) Busby and Randy (Amanda) Busby.
She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she cherished and loved so much, Sueann (Busby) Tate, Miachel Busby, Brandon Busby, Garrett Busby, Patrick Busby, Rachel (Busby) Baronich, Jessica (Busby) Robinson, Maranda Busby, Tyler (Jessica)Thompson and Sarah Burrows.
Great grandchildren Joshua Nelson, Adeline Busby, Ada Grace Busby, Annie Ellis Busby, Porter Baronich, Annastyn Baronich, Pierce Baronich, Penn Baronich, Kasen Robinson, Haleigh Thompson, Conner Thompson, Collin Thompson and Emma Burrows.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Busby, Garrett Busby, Patrick Busby, Miachel Busby, Joshua Nelson, and Tyler Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. Barrow, Robert E. Westfall Jr. , and Arthur King.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 6, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridglea Heights Baptist Church 12601 Hwy 613 Moss Point, MS 39562. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Steve Cirlot officiating. Burial will follow at Serene Gardens Cemetery in Moss Point.
