Mrs. Wanda Allen, 85, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026.Wanda was born on June 7, 1941. She was a devoted member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church in Ocean Springs, where her faith was an important part of her life.
Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who was known for her laughter, sense of humor, and the joy she brought to those around her. She was genuine, thoughtful, and always willing to help others. Wanda had a kind and giving heart, and she never hesitated to be there for the people she loved. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and could often be found with a project in her hands. She took pride in the things she created and loved sharing her talents with others.Her greatest joy in life was her family. The love she had for them was unmatched, and she treasured the memories they created together. Her love, laughter, and the impact she made on the lives of those around her will never be forgotten.Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert “Gene” Allen; her sons, Gary Eugene Allen and Herbert Eugene Allen; and other loved ones who went before her.She leaves behind her children, Susan Gregory Monroe (Carroll) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; DeAnn Allen Amason (Mark) of Mobile, Alabama; and Michael “Buck” Allen of Wade, Mississippi. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.While her family will miss her dearly, they find peace knowing Wanda is reunited with her beloved husband and loved ones who went before her. The memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Holder-Wells Coastal Chapel in Moss Point, Mississippi.
