Wanda Jean Taylor Coggins, 74 of Moss Point, MS passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019 in Pascagoula, MS.
She was born Oct. 15, 1944 to Murdock and Josephine Jackson Taylor.
Wanda was a cosmetologist and hairdresser for many years. She taught at The Pascagoula Beauty School in the mid 1960's, and later became an insurance agent. She was an outdoor person who enjoyed bird watching and gardening. She loved all animals. And liked to show her artistic side through her sewing and painting.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey, Ronnie and Butch Taylor. Sister in law, Barbara Taylor, and nephew, Gary Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Coggins, Sr., son Jason (Vickie) Hines, daughter, Charlotte (David) Keener, Step-daughter, Michelle Shanks and step-son, James R. Coggins, Jr. Two sisters, Janice (Larry) Crisco, and Mazie (Buddy) Tyndall, special aunt, Lila Cook. Grandchildren; Ja (Brittany) Hines, Cameron Hines, David (Jerica) Smith, Ronnie (Gina) Smith, Kyle (Shelby) Keener, Morgan (Rickie) Lee, Dawson Keener, Bryant Keener, James D. Coggins, Andy Shanks and Jake Shanks. Great grandchildren; Kyla Smith, Jaidyn Hines, Harper Smith, Annistyn Hines and Luna Smith. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St. Moss Point, MS, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Orange Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Brian Gilbert.
