William R. "Billy" Broome 81, of Moss Point, Mississippi passed away on May 10,2021 at Singing River Hospital Pascagoula, Mississippi after a brief illness.
He was born on March 26,1940 in Pascagoula to Will G. Broome and Elizabeth Broome-Woodruff. Billy graduated from Moss Point High School and continued his education and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. He was a retired businessman and owned the Western Auto Store in Moss Point. He enjoyed hunting especially quail hunting, fishing and spending time on his houseboat. He and his wife Bettye spent countless hours traveling throughout country.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Bettye Broome his daughter Tracy Cooper (Tony), his sons William G. "Will G" Broome (Angela) and Michael Broome. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren Crystal, Carie, Lindsey, Ricky, Katie, Ben, and ten great grandchildren. Sister-in-Law Peggy Woodruff and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services will be Friday May 14,2021 at 2:00 pm at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula.
