Mr. William T. "Billy" Roberts Jr. 63, of Gautier, MS passed away July 3, 2016, in Gautier. Billy was born on December 30, 1952 in Pascagoula, MS. He was a 1971 graduate of Pascagoula High School and a 1973 honors graduate of Perkinston Jr. College. After graduation from Perk, he pursued a certification in the electrical field and became an electrician. He was employed for many years as an electrical supervisor for Brown & Root and his last years of employment were with Rapidscan and Ferson Technologies in Ocean Springs. He also owned Tri-State Striping and striped parking lots in his spare time. He grew up playing baseball, enjoyed fishing and spending time on the water, was an avid NASCAR follower and Ole Miss and Mississippi State fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gautier. He is preceded in death by his parents William T "Bill" Roberts and Betty Foster Roberts. He is survived by his loving daughter Johnnette (Ted) Bilbo, his sister Betty (Ronnie) Knight, his Aunt Barbara Foster, his grandchildren Hailey Furlan, Jacob Bilbo, Wyatt Bilbo, Sawyer Bilbo, his niece Terri (Tom) Schoemann and nephew Ron (Caroline) Knight. He also leaves to cherish his memories great nieces and nephew Jaynie (Daniel) Payne, Jaclyn Schoemann, Matt Schoemann, Noel Quave, Sarah Margaret Knight, and Charlotte Knight. His friends and family at the American Legion Post #1992 of Gautier where he was known as "BR." He will be sadly missed by numerous other family members, who called him "Bill Boy," and so many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday July 30, 2016,from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Tiki Restaurant in Gautier. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be sent to the Gautier Senior Care Center at 925 De La Pointe Drive, Gautier, MS 39553. Ms. Shirley and the staff at GSCC took phenomenal care of Billy during his final months. Billy would want all donations to benefit the care center. Also, a very special thank you to Miss Sarah and Miss Christy of Gentiva Hospice who provided awesome care and comfort to Billy in his last days.
