William David Kilbern Jr., age 53, of Vancleave, MS, ascended to his Heavenly Father on October 26, 2024, surrounded by his adoring family. Born on November 14, 1970, in Pensacola, FL, he was a beloved son to Mr. William David and Mrs. Robbie Elaine Kilbern Sr. David's life was illuminated by the love of his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mrs. Karen Rene'e Potter Kilbern, with whom he shared 18 cherished years of marriage. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Trevor Eugene Kilbern and Carlie Beth Kilbern. David was a loving son, remaining close to his parents, William David Kilbern Sr. and Robbie Elaine Kilbern, who instilled in him the values of kindness and community service.
He was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, William Leroy, and Margaret Kilbern, as well as aunts Margaret Marie Kelley and Ethal May German, who held a special place in his heart.
David was a multifaceted man with a genuine passion for life. While fishing, hunting, and playing golf brought him joy, it was his culinary prowess and beekeeping that showcased his love for nature and nurturing. However, the memories created during family trips stood out as some of his most treasured moments—a testament to his commitment to family togetherness. His impact extended beyond his family; he was a pillar in his community. David dedicated countless hours to volunteering in various capacities, including his role as a player and coach in local baseball leagues for over 4 decades. His pride was evident when, in 1983, his team achieved the remarkable feat of winning the title of State Champions and playing in the World Series. A tireless supporter of the Vancleave ball teams, David spent many evenings at the concession stands, cheering on aspiring athletes and helping foster a sense of community. In addition to his love for sports, he played a significant role on the Board of his son's Bass Team, where he managed social media efforts to connect with fellow fishing enthusiasts and promote their successes.
