Mr. William L. Stewart Sr. 83, passed away on September 23rd, 2019 in Pascagoula, MS. Mr. Stewart was born on June 27th 1936 to William R. and Helen Stewart. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He retired from Omega Protein Fisheries in Moss Point after 55 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed working in his yard, tending to his fruit trees, listening to gospel music. He loved watching and caring for wildlife, especially deer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers Laura Emma Stewart, Mary Ann Stringer, Greta Gardner, Brenda Parker, Riley Stewart, and David Stewart, as well as his great grandson Isaiah Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Eloise Jean Stewart, his children Dorothy Thorpe, Karen (Mike) Majewski, William L. "Billy" (Tammy) Stewart Jr, and Anthony D. "Tony" (Latoya) Stewart. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren Charity (Matthew) Burrell, Latena Reshell (Thomas) Wallace, Beth (James) Roberts, Rebecca (Frank) Richards, William L. "Trey" (Sunni) Stewart III, Justin Thorpe, Nicholas Stewart, and his great grandchildren Victoria Stewart, Alexzander Stewart, Alexis Burrell, Logan Stewart, William Burrell, Luke Roberts, Ava Roberts, Ashley Burrell, Alison Richards, Addalynn Thorpe, and Kyler Thorpe. His sisters Betty (Charles Lee) Wolverton, Tuffty Davis, Flora Mae Bond, Rita (Guy) Robinson, and Dianne (Ernie) Denmark. Nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be on Thursday September 26th 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the New Horizon Ministries Church at 10501 Hwy 63 Moss Point, MS 39562. The funeral service will be on Friday September 27th, 2019 beginning at 11:00 am from the New Horizon Ministries Church with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Rev Don Edeker will be officiating the service.
Burial will follow in Grand Bay cemetery in Grand Bay Alabama. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Matthew Burrell, Thomas Wallace, Justin Thorpe, William Stewart III, Alexz Stewart, Frank "Steve" Richards, and Nicholas Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons Logan Stewart, William Burrell, Luke Roberts.
