Mr. Wilmer J. Robinson, Jr., 75, of Moss Point, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He was born on November 4, 1947, to Wilmer J. Robinson, Sr., and Vivian Lee Tillman Robinson.
Mr. Robinson retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 2006. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was known to his friends there as "Jelly-Belly."
He had many interests. He loved and rode motorcycles. He was a student pilot and flew small airplanes. He loved music, and was an avid musician, he played guitar, and bass guitar. He had a shrimp boat named after his granddaughter, "The Alisha Marie." On the water, he was known as "Captain Jack."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Danny Carl Robinson.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Wreatha Robinson, one son, Woodrow K. Robinson, one daughter, Tina D. Vice, and husband, Casey Vice. 2 grandchildren, Alisha Marie Vice, and Lecil Alexander Vice. One brother, Kevin Lee Robinson, his niece and nephew, Vivian Danielle Wyatt, and Samuel Douglas Robinson. And many more relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS 39563 the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Darden officiating. The burial will be at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point, MS. Serving as pallbearers; Casey Vice, Charles "Clay" Williamson, Jr., Charles C. Williamson, III, Billy Van Williamson, Sr., John Eric Crawford, Ryan Burri, Burt Smith, and Seth Lee Vice. Honorary pallbearer; Lecil Vice.
