Winnie "Coutie" Neal, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2020. Winnie was born on March 9, 1933 to Carlton and Fannie (Devers) Danley. A lifelong resident of Moss Point, MS, she married Donald Neal on March 31, 1949, and together they raised a son, Donnie, and a daughter Carla.
Winnie, affectionately known as "Coutie" to all who knew and loved her, was hardworking, loyal, and dedicated. One of the longest tenured employees at Jerry Lee's, she brightened the faces and day of the customers for years.
What brought her the most joy in life were her three grandchildren-Timothy, Nicholas and Kimberly. A kind and generous heart, loved by many, Coutie will be missed dearly.
Winnie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Neal, son and daughter-in-law, Donnie Neal (Claudia), parents, Carlton Danley (Fannie) and a sister Joyce Rouse.
She is survived by her daughter Carla Brewer (James), two grandsons, Timothy Brewer (Allyson) and Nicholas Brewer (Bridget), one granddaughter, Kimberly Holland (John), a brother Carlton Danley Jr., three sisters, Betty Aven, Mildred Malone and Cara powe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Neal, Timmie Neal, Randy Neal, Clyde Glenn, Carl Glenn, Kyle Glenn, Brian Malone, Cecil George and Horace Goff.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 12:30pm-1:45pm at Holder Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street, Moss Point, MS 39563. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm at Machpelah Cemetery, with Reverend Ralph Smith officiating. Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
