Joshua Mumme

Joshua Edward Mumme, 21, departed this life on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, to be with his Lord and Savior, his Dad and his precious paternal grandmother, who Josh lovingly referred to as ?Mom?. Joshua was born June 4, 1991 in Pascagoula, MS to Frederick Edward Mumme, III and Mary Darlene Davis Babcock. Joshua?s formative years were spent with his grandparents with whom he had very loving and nurturing relationships. They were ?Mom? and ?Dad? to Josh and he was ?Son? to them. He was extremely close and devoted to his grandmother, who passed from this life just five months ago. Joshua was blessed with many friends and though he was passionate about many things, he most enjoyed spending time with his friends in his boat going to Petit Bois and Horn Islands. He attended Oasis Church in Pascagoula, where he committed his heart, life and soul to his Lord just two weeks ago. Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Edward Mumme III; his paternal grandmother (?Mom?, to Josh), Thelma Grace Eastland; his maternal grandparents, James and Linda Davis of Wade; and one cousin, Christy Creel of Sevierville, TN. Left to cherish his memories are his paternal grandfather (?Dad?), Hal Eastland; his birthmother, Darlene Davis Babcock; one step-sister; Heather White; his paternal grandfather, Frederick E. Mumme II; and his Uncle Scott Mumme, as well as many other family members and friends. Josh will be notably missed by his dog, Terri ?T? and his cat, Tiger ?Ty?. Josh inherited Ty upon his grandmother?s passing and was the perfect substitute. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by his Funeral Service at Coastal Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Reverend Grant Randolph of Oasis Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens where Joshua will be laid to rest next to his beloved ?Mom?, Thelma Grace.
