Aubrey Juanita Baria

Aubrey Juanita "Nita" Baria to many, especially her grandchildren, was better known as Granny. Nita was called home to her Lord and Savior February 15, 2009. She was survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas "Tom" Baria, and her three daughters and sons in law: Ann and Jose' Enriguez, Boots and Billy Brinkman; and Bettye and Gary Elkins. Granny was an adored grandmother of ten grandchildren: Mary Kirkland (Dennis), Jenny Lynch (Tony), Michael Enriquez, Michael Goff (Chris), Billy Brinkman, David Finch, Tommy Brinkman, Howard Brinkman, Gabriel Enriquez, and Taylor Elkins. Granny also had the love of ten great-grandchildren: Jordan Goff, Joey Butera, Levi Lynch, Bethie Butera, Camryn Goff, Anni Lynch, Noah Goff, Gage Goff and Gabe and Mikey Lynch. Nita is also survived by her sister, Ann Janette Moore of Houston,Texas. She has many, many other family members, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews who loved and adored her. Nita was loved and admired by many in her community. She was an avid member of the Hurley United Methodist Church where she volunteered her time, efforts and especially her cooking. Nita, when asked to bake of cook, never said no. She shared her love for others through her baking and cooking. Nita was one to be relied on when needed. She loved her church, and she loved her community. Nita, Granny, loved nothing more than her family. She never missed a birthday, anniversary or an event at school. She was our biggest fan. She made the time to be at every ball game, every school program, every pageant, every graduation, everything. She showered her family with love and adoration. There was never a question of the love that Granny had for her family.. She truly supported and loved us in all we did. She encouraged us when it was needed; she scolded us when needed; but most importantly, she loved us each and every one unconditionally and always. Granny also had her other "children" that she loved as much (if not more) than her family, the late Taco, Lil' Bit, and Sassy. She doted on her puppies with so much love to Granny, her puppies were her pride and joy, her companions. When Nita, Granny, was called to her Lord and Savior, Heaven received the greatest of angels. Although she will be missed here, Heaven has been truly been blessed with her presence. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17th from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18th from Hurley United Methodist Church. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Coleman Cemetery in Hurley, MS. Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS.
