Doris Davis Osborn

Mrs. Doris M. Scarbrough Davis Osborn, age 87 passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 12, 1921 in Pearl River County, MS. Mrs. Osborn was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave. She was preceded in death by her parents Hiram Posey and Annie Belle Strickland Scarbrough; husband and father of her children, Guy William Davis; husband and step father of her children, Richard Eugene Osborn; 5 brothers, Leonard Jefferson Scarbrough, Elder Elmer Silas Scarbrough, Earl Hamilton Scarbrough, Wade Claude Scrabrough, Dr. B.R. Scarbrough; 2 sisters, Joyce Elizabeth Rhodes and Laura Lillian Carlisle. Survivors include her children, Robert Hiram (Bobby) Davis and daughter in law, Judy Pitts Davis of Vancleave; MS Linda Dianne Davis Goff and son in law, Myrl Goff of Wade, MS; William Donald (Donnie) Davis and daughter in law, Bessie Turner Davis of Spring, TX; seven grandchildren, Patrick Joseph McGee of Wade, MS; Jason Ramey McGee of Gautier, MS; Dana Davis Wedgeworth of Long Beach, MS; Christi Davis Foil of Gautier, MS; Annie Davis Parks of Mobile, AL; Guy Blake Davis and Blair Turner Davis, both of Spring, TX; nine great grandchildren, Chelsea Lene' Vice and Haley Alyssa McGee, both of Gautier, MS; Dane Newman Wedgeworth and Jill Madison Wedgeworth, both of Long Beach, MS; Hayden Davis Foil and Larsen Everett Foil, both of Gautier, MS; Paige Kennedy Parks, Annalee Grace Parks and Davis Grey Parks, both of Mobile, AL; two sisters in law, Joan Scarbrough and Frances Scarbrough; one brother in law, Dewey Carlisle; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Saturday, October 25th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Vancleave. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. from the church sanctuary with Dr. Don Boone officiating. Interment will be in Vancleave Cemetery on Jim Ramsey Road. Pallbearers are Scott Wedgeworth, Scott Parks, Jeff Foil, Blake Davis, Blair Davis and Jason McGee. Honorary Pallbearers are Dane Wedgeworth and Joey McGee. The family wishes to thank Wayne and Rita Myrick as well as the staff of Odyssey Hospice for the care of Mrs. Osborn. Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS.
