Ferdinand Walker Flechas

Ferdinand Walker “Butch” Flechas, Jr., 74 of Pascagoula passed from this life on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born and raised in Pascagoula and attended OLV. After graduation, Butch served in the United States Army and later retired as Supervisor from Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery. He loved football and played in high school and while in the military. He loved Ole Miss and especially Ole Miss football! Butch was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He was a member of Pascagoula Lodge 1120 BPOE and American Legion Post 160 of Pascagoula. He participated in most Elks events and activities, including being Bingo Chairman for the last twenty years. Butch loved to play cards and dance. It was through dance that he met his wife Wanda. Butch was a loving husband, father, son and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ferdinand Walker Flechas, Sr. and Helen Ros Cox Flechas; brothers, Lofton Charles Cox, Jr. and Wallie Wolseh Cox; and sister-in-law, Ollie Simmons Cox; mother-in-law, Mildred Hall Vaughn and father-in-law, Onnie Hall and sister-in-law, Denise Hall Lewis. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Hall illman Flechas; sons, Michael Flechas and Brandon Flechas and wife Ellen; step-sons, Richard “Richie” Emile Tillman, Jr. and wife Kim and Todd Tillman and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Luca, Claudia, Avery, Allie and Gracie; sisters, Betty Cox and Geno Flechas; brother-in-law, Richard Hall and wife Betty; sister-in-law, Tammy Adams Norman and husband Jeff, and brother-in-law, Johnny Lewis as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 9:00 until 11:00am at OLV Catholic Church in Pascagoula. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am from the church with Monsignor, John McGrath, Rev. Tony Arguelles and Rev. Mike Kelleher officiating. Due to conditions at Machpelah Cemetery, the Flechas family has postponed graveside services until further notice! Friends and family may share condolences at www.holderwellsfuneralhome.com.
